Salt Lake Design Week is an annual event in Salt Lake City that celebrates and promotes all design disciplines, including graphic, digital, product, fashion, photography, architecture, and interior design. It's a platform for designers, innovators, and creative minds to connect, share ideas, and engage in a week-long series of dynamic events and programming. The event aims to showcase the impact of design in Utah and recognizes the diverse range of design fields.
For the 2023 season, the organization wanted to launch with a visual identity that felt experimental, contemporary, and little tongue-in-cheek. The foundational wordmark was created with the intent that other designers and artists could put their own spin on the host city's name—further showcasing Utah's diverse creative landscape.
